More to the point where can I find the "Glaurung Server" app? I went to http://www.glaurungchess.com/ but the app is not there.

Thanks

Needs iphone 4.0 Software update. My ipod touch version1 has already been updated twice now from 1-2 and 2-3 don't know if I will bother a 3rd time. This must be how Apple makes so much money.
But thanks Tord anyway and I probably will get eventually.

The app appeared on the App Store too fast, before I had time to react and update my web page. :D

I have updated the web page now. Unfortunately, I still don't have binaries of the server for all platforms. For now, only Mac OS X and 32-bit WIndows are supported (and the 32-bit Windows binary does not work in 64-bit Windows). Binaries for the other major platforms will be available in the near future, probably this weekend.

Instructions about how to set up the remote server are included in the Readme.txt file in the download.

It looks even better if you are lucky enough to own one of the new iPhone 4s:

Yes, it is -- perhaps somewhat anticlimactic right now, as Stockfish 1.8 is just around the corner.

Thanks, Tord and Stockfish team.
Aided by engines, GMs can be very strong.
