The old era of static chess with opening books is dying since people train learning engines. In computer chess era, it became absurd to run engines from starting position. Fishtest uses opening lists, Stockfish doesn't handle books, we have tools to reveal openings handled or not by books, it's the end.

I don't think the era of engines, plying with well tuned opening books, is dying.

The goal of opening books is to go fast, and without loosing any microsecond, on maximum depth and on the best position, so that the engine will keep all remaining time to play maximum strength VS opponent which will have little time left because of losing precious seconds before the end of book line.

Good books will always beat a learning engine at all time controls.

No much chances to be beatable the strongest opening books!
They are as BEAST...fighting until the last straw for sure!
Same words are going to the strongest Exp files as well..

On other hand,
I still believe that a well-trained/super strong Exp may overcome vs
Many of the Top books e.g in Duel III, Exp file managed to do that:

RapToRa engine's learning is outstanding, it seems one of best!
Why I say like this, e.g as far as I noticed, RapTora 2.2 prefers
The learned moves in auto (e.g not thinking in learned positions)
Where some others are thinking..even in theirs 1st opening moves!
Sure I'm NOT expert on Eng learning..very likely the eng programmers
Will explain better than Me...

By the way (when Book vs EXP CS I tour will be resumed):

Deeds system is Business system...no more no less!

Actually Deeds's target is very simple and clear:
Trying to gain much Euro, but via cheap ways!

What I can say more over these issues:
Deeds will never send his Depth4 Exp file to:
- Well known trusted organizers of ratings!
Because we will see that his famous Exp will be
Much below ranked than his own testings... )))
Because not all of TDs prefer handicapped cond. !

And this is also true that
Deeds tries to attack/sabotage many of the testers, e.g
Just a few, where Deeds underestimated: SCCT, Oliprog, SPCC etc.
If not clear, just because many of us have to stop testing Exp files...

You can blame SCCT, but in my many latest NNUE 3700+ ratings,
I prefer as 1 Core or 2 Cores.. so I think that I have no chances to

SCCT's 1 Core tour can be counted as MP on Deeds hardware (2x E5-2660)!
