San Fran 1905

"It should be noted that the driver of the car with the license plate 4867 at 3:14 is more likely Harry Miles of the Miles Bros, who shot this film. He would be one of the first film makers to place himself annonymously in his own movies similar to the way Hitchcock did. Unfortunately, the earthquake and fire devastated all the equipment, plans and photos of his studio"

The film was shot in San Francisco, 1906, 4 days before the earthquake

I noticed that also. But remember vehicular speed was slow, not like today.

Looks like you could get run over by:

A car
A horse and buggy
A trolley
A streetcar
A bus
A paperboy!

And, did you notice the whole time, NOT A SINGLE TRAFFIC LIGHT!

When the film is done, there is another film like it in the screen links at the bottom. Click it and see a similar film from a devastated city.
