Strong New Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary (22.01.2024)

Three engines: Polyfish 240114, Stockfish 20240108 Ivec and YuliGM Pro 14 scored the same number of points. There is still a big difference between engines derived from the Stockfish engine code and others (e.g. Caissa or Arasan).

When we consider the results, we see all games between stockfish family engines are draw. So these are the weaker engines who determine the final ranking of tournament.
Best regards

Obsidian 10.0 wins Middle Class Engines (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, Heide, 2024.01.20 Time: 3'+3")

The Obsidian chess engine is becoming more and more powerful. The victory in this tournament was convincing, as much as 4 points ahead.
The latest version of the Uralochka engine, 3.41.dev1, also performed quite well. "Old" engines that have been developed for years (e.g. Texel 1.11) performed poorly.

CorChess 20240103 wins Fritz new Strong Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 2024.01.20-22

Corchess 20240103 won with a minimum advantage.
Experimentally, we added the Stockfish 12 engine to the tournament. It was released 4 years ago and as you can see he got a great result.
Caissa 1.16 and Obsidian 10.0 engines play better and better. I wonder if we will see the victory of these engines over Stockfish?

Raid 3.2 wins Acer Arena Tournament for older computers (Chess Engines Diary by Tedi, 2024.01.20-25)

Since some readers asked for tests on older computers, today's tournament on a 11-year-old computer. It was cleaned and updated by our cooperator Tedi.
A very useful tournament for people with older computers. As you can see, it can run many of the latest chess engines. The winner was the Raid 3.2 engine, which, with the same number of points, had a better supporting score thanks to its victory over the Hazard 4.21 Dual engine.

RubiChess 20240112 wins New Amateur Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 20-25.01.2024

The latest versions of the RubiChess 20240112 and Uralochka 3.41 dev1 chess engines performed very well. Of the engines tested for the first time, the Starzix 4.0 engine was highest in the table. However, this is not a new engine, but a changed name of the Z5 engine.
