Yeah, change Rybka 4 settings to Normal Move Time 56, Max Move Time 102, and let's see how it does. Or add such a Rybka to the tourney, so see if it does better than default.

Normal Move time tends to play too slow at 1+3 time controls, so it may play too slow at the start of the game at 4+1 and then having to live from a 1 second increment, I don't know, so it would be an interesting test.

I'll add it into the tournament. Thanks for the suggestion.

I keep adding engines to the list ^_^

Current total is 14 I think. Maybe I'll just turn this into a full fledged rating list? Anyone else care to contribute games? I can post a Crafty benchmark (we'll go off mine since my hardware is probably slower than most), and at anytime if you care to contribute games from whatever engines you want please do so.

I'll convert your benchmark score into a time limit. Also for the moment lets only test with 1 CPU. Ponder on if you have a multi-CPU computer.

Other strong untested engines that I do not currently have in my tournament:

Fritz 12
Shredder 12
Deep Sjeng WC2008
Junior 10
Iggorrit
Ippolit
Thinker 5.4D Inert
Fruit

You definately need to add Shredder 12, with OA on. Don't bother with fritz, fritz is annoyingly stubborn by not making uci engines. I'm not familiar with newer processors, and I'm not sure whether yours is a dual core or single. But I'm about 80 percent sure on my single core p4 that Houdini 1.01 is the strongest version. I've also been waiting for someone to do some test on the upgraded toga II that used to be on the chesslogik site I think it was an upgraded toga II 1.3.1. I was alway curious to see if it was stronger. Put both togas in the match. They used to be good at blitz. Especially on a single core...........I just tried to get on the chesslogik site. The site seems to no longer exist. Anyways if you can find that toga do some blitz testing.

When the tournament is over, Toga II will be added. I'll try finding the version you mentioned.

Just wanted to mention that it was Toga II 1.4.1 SE not Toga II 1.3.1. And the version on the chesslogik site was Toga II 2.0 SE. Cheers.

Toga II 2.0 SE will be added tonight. Maybe later Toga II 1.4.1 SE after the tournament is finished.

I need more suggestions though! Maybe the last free Fruit version? Also I couldn't get Thinker to work in Arena. Hmm maybe I'll use Wael Deebs Fire 1.1 settings? Anyway we have a new leader!

Well, I could keep suggesting Rybka settings to try, but that would get boring fast. Please note that there MUST be a TC setting that performs some 30 elo stronger than Rybka 4 Default, finding it is the tricky part.

Are both Rybka 4's on the list w32?

Yes, every engine is using 128 MB hash, Windows 32 bit, with ponder off.
