TCEC 8 - important question.

Post by Krzychu » Tue Nov 03, 2015 5:27 pm

I have a question and a request to Martin Thoresen. Please write how you solved a problem in your home during the tournament with an electric current. If I accidentally turns off the electricity in the house this tournament is interrupted, or in some other way is solved.I ask you to be written off as you can at my question, thank you in advance.

The machines used in this season are both rented. The provider will take care of setting up UPS and generators to ensure that there is no downtime.

For machines running at home also, it is common to have an UPS to ensure uninterrupted power, the amount of backup power provided can be extended by external batteries connected to the UPS. In localities where power can go off for a long time, generators are used to provide power indefinitely.

However, none of these are a concern for TCEC as electricity is rarely interrupted in the locations it is run.
