Hiarcs 13.1

Post by Steffelino » Thu Jun 10, 2010 11:00 pm

The new Hiarcs don´t work in deep positional analyses in Fritz GUI!
I told the Hiarcs team but the problem is still there.
Can anybody else confirm this problem?

What Fritz version are you using? It seems to be working over here under Fritz 12 (GUI version May 26). I do note that it is not showing a MPV.

Thanks for your answer!
I use Fritz 12 GUI (it says"uptodate" when I try to update)
The problem is that it is no multi pv! then the analyses don´t work!
It gives no variations!

True, I noticed that when I saw Rybka 4's output, that there was no MPV from Hiarcs 13.1

Yes Ted!
That´s the problem that I have told Hiarcs support but nothing happens,
and the chess community make no comments, it seems that nobody cares about Hiarcs!

You have been told several times by email that this will be fixed. Unlike some we fix our bugs.

I am not sure if I understand the problem correct, but in the Classic GUI Hiarcs seems to work just fine with MV AND variants.

Maybe it is not the engine side where the problem is !?

Hi Ingo,

Normal analysis works fine in Fritz, however Fritz has a Deep Position Analysis feature that can use more than one engine (As Many As You Like) to look at a position deeper. Shredder does not have this, it has triple brain but its not the same thing. Note other UCI engines are working find with DPA.
