Missing Nalimov Tablebase File?

Postby KellyRae » Fri Jun 07, 2013 4:55 pm

Is there anyplace other than sesse.net that provides a full set of the Nalimov 6man tablebases?

I note that there does not seem to be a KQPKRP file with extension "f.nbw.emd" -- while there are files with extensions "f.nbb.emd" and "g.nbb.emd" -- at this site. Also any way to confirm that the files on the sesse.net site are complete?

You can test the files on a position with KQP vs KRP

On the site:

http://tablebase.sesse.net/3+3-with-pawns/

the files for KQPKRP are complete, from kqpkrp.0.nbb.emt to kqpkrp.6.nbb.emt (there isn't kqpkrp.6.nbw.emt).
I have installed them on my CB GUI and they correctly work.

Thanks, the files were actually KQPKRB where I thought that there was a missing file. Sorry for the mistype in the original post.

Not to download any files and does not get lost in all this, I proceed as follows:

1) I use a bookmarklet in firefox to extract all the links.
2) A new window opens with all the links of folder.
3) Also in firefox, I do a search of the desired files and I highlights.
4) Then I select those highlight and copy/paste in a preferred download manager (http://sourceforge.net/projects/freedownload/).

Here is the bookmarklet from http://www.bookmarklets.com/tools/data/index.phtml named List All Links :
Code: Select all
javascript:WN7z=open('','Z6','width=400,height=200,scrollbars,resizable,menubar');DL5e=document.links;with(WN7z.document){write('<base%20target=_blank>');for(lKi=0;lKi<DL5e.length;lKi++){write(DL5e[lKi].toString().link(DL5e[lKi])+'<br>')};void(close())}

Example there for kqpkrb (16265 MB)
Code: Select all
http://tablebase.sesse.net/3+3-with-pawns/kqpkrb.0.nbb.emd
http://tablebase.sesse.net/3+3-with-pawns/kqpkrb.0.nbw.emd
