"Black undertakes an opening attack on the wing, which promises fair chances of success after 9.Bg3 h5. It is easy to see that in this case White cannot refute the attack by means of a blow in the centre. By blindly following the rule that we stated earlier, regarding the interaction between the centre and the flanks, you could easily conclude that Black's attack was positionally justified.

Yet any position may have peculiarities which rob a given rule of all significance, since some other rule will be more relevant. That is precisely the case in the variation we are looking at."

The Android versions of Komodo have a hard time with this position. How long does it take your Android device to find 9.Nxg5+-? Note, Komodo does find the move it just takes a while.
