Chess Teaching GUI

I teach chess to children and would like a program that does not require a king to be present and allows many moves of the same color piece. Yet the move of a piece must still follow the rules of chess movements. Plus has large prominent letters and numbers and be able to set up from a .pgn file or FEN string.
Also a way to allow arrows, targets, colored squares, and boxes to be made. When I say make a box I would like to surround an area where the border is on the outside lines. Like when describing a pawn's square. Traditionally I could highlight 4 squares x 4 squares for a black pawn on d4 and say "inside the box" and children will see the 9 squares central to the colored squares.

If you have to many requirements, it won't exist. Of course you could program it yourself, starting from an existing open-source program. E.g. WinBoard.
