Nah, cubail only has engines where he can manipulate their authors, sf clones usually.

Bros like Dietrich or Andrew ain't even gonna listen to him. Cubail has nothing this time.

It's only going to be a matter of time until Torch is leaked. (and not an SF clone of the same name)

From what I read in the comments about the torch on chess.com, some users have already faced it using stockfish and won very easily, stockfish many light years ahead of this torch.

Too much build up for this weak Torch engine. Its going to be private willnot be sold to public.
I already watched CCC21 and it lost to Lc0 in semifinals. Just a weak engine.
But its better than Dragon so we can have it as challenger to SF.

Torch being private and ranking #2 out of nowhere with a little gap between stockfish is highly suspicious in my opinion. Also, what new does torch bring to us, or what did they do different than Stockfish to be number 2 in such a short case?

I think "fishy" is the right word for a situation like this.

Do you think Komodo dragon authors work under a fishy condition or fishy codes? I personally don’t think so? I think torch mostly use Komodo dragon
Codes with some improvements. And it is not very strange, because even now Komodo is almost as strong as stockfish in longer time controls, the difference is on blitz time controls, where stockfish is really stronger. I think authors have a plan for new year(2024). They want to release torch as the no1 engine for new year. Let’s see what will happen.
Greetings
