Looking for UCI engine on human blitz level 1400+

Post by Take 5 » Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:14 am

I am looking for UCI engines that play on human blitz level approximatey Elo 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000. They should play on such levels in their standard version, means without changing params. Please note that computer blitz elos like 1600 cannot be compared to human blitz elos. I guess a computer rated 1600 will play on a human blitz level 2000 or even more due to inevitably human blunders.
Please share names and may be download links. Thanks.

You should look at the side of the ELO rankings list website, not only UCI but also WB.

i.e http://www.madchess.net/page/Bullet.aspx
47 Vajolet 0.4.1 1485
48 MicroMax 1.6 1458
49 Toledo NanoChess 1342
50 MSCP 1.4 1290

google: chess engine rating list website
google: <engine name> chess engine download

Thank you. The reason why I look for UCI only is my application which cannot load WB engines. At least I found UCI Vajolet. Any other UCI engines that are weaker? Yet they should not blunder pieces with each move like e.g. ACE 0.1 does.

I guess there are very strong engines, which allow to regulate the level of play. Not just playing by making blunders but playing by choosing lower secondary line and not critical lines.

Did you try Stockfish for example?
And ask the authors of current engines if their play this way without blunder by choosing critical lines.

Look this list. There are dozens of engines with elo below 1500.

You do not need to try all. You just have to download the games from the previous list and analyze the blunders made by them, to see how they play.
