Meanwhile, who is said such as:
Both (Raubfish and Cfish) are as bad, old-dated etc. engines ?
E.g Stockfish 17 is much newer, updated, belongs to 2024, but..

Hello Dear Friends,

As usually, I'm very pleased to announce that,
Another new handicapped competition coming!
In short, will be similar recent organized: CS 3
Meanwhile (for anyone missed) for older tours:
CS 2 / CS 1 / 2019 / 2018 / 2011

What is New (mainly) ?
Exc current entries more SF-family ones are planning to be entered,
Plus, an improved handicapped opening suite is created and used !
Moreover (in ongoing CS) more close (in strength) constant players..

Some More Notes:
Many Top engines are so good that they even may play with handicap
Against opponents (close to Super GMs level), such as giving an extra
Bishop or knight etc. and even despite on disadvantage starts, they are
Capable to crush opponents, sure not always..but quite often for sure!!

What I can add more,
The current tour is quite exciting and many of engines do a great job!
But I admit too that many new SF-based engines suffer..strange really,
Normally in my understanding, newer should be better, stronger, right?
Btw, once we noticed the powerful move is not in date/size, but in line!
Anyhow I think that it's quite normal, since no anyone's work is perfect!

HC CS IV's Current Leader: Clover 8.1 - My Congratulations to Luca Metehau!
Note: Exactly same Clover ver is the Champion of recent Blitz+Rapid: CS III

UPDATE 2

Via this update a lot of chess engines are entered, mostly of them SF
Family ones..many of engines are performed below than expected but
Some really managed to archive, to succeed 'unbelievable' records!

Meanwhile,
Current Top 3 ranks: 1st: Clover, 2nd: Kayra, 3rd: PlentyChess! plus
Very good performance comes by RapTora, Raubfish SC, Zeus... and
No doubt too that these great engines have 'brilliancy' with piece odds!
No any other explanation about their extremely powerful moves, right?

Btw, now again I remembered the days, when Kayra engine was released:
How Kayra is underestimated, even Kayra's played games were prohibited..
But all these bad, childish actions happened on papers...but on our 'reality':
Situation is different for sure, and as usually: the 'best' ones are on Top!

Actually everyone has a target: to get better, to be succeed, right?
But not so many people have the courage/talent to go through with it..
And what a ptty: these clever guys prefer the easiest way: 'attacks'
But via cheap papers, if not so clear: What about on 'real' Arena ??
Yes on real Arena..they are really invisible or losers.. one thing more:
Why I was on Playchess server (during in Eng room 2008 / 2009)?:
Because on those old times, my tournaments, opening books, work etc.
Much underestimated..Btw, forget everything: What we noticed in 2024?
Only ones which belonging to 2015-2017 are performed better than P16!
Btw, right now imagine...if I'll start to work over a new Perfect 17 book ?)

Continuing...

Actually this is not as 1st... unfortunately we will see attacks, jealous to our
Free work...Exception to stop them (for a solution): we have stop work too!
Yes people who are knowledgeable, skilled and successful in their jobs are
Often envied, criticized and made difficult to do their jobs...sad, but true!

Btw, let Me add also please, someone once said:
“The tree that bears fruit, unfortunately will be stoned”
“If nobody hates you, you are doing something wrong”

UPDATE 3

Meanwhile, (while I'm organizing the piece odds tourneys)
The attacking styles of Clover, Kayra etc. are like Morphy!
Yes...they are undoubtedly as real 'genius' in this area !!

One thing more,
Certainly one of strongest human players of all time (in odds):
Paul Morphy! yes... he was not only as one of World's greatest
Chess masters but in same time Morphy was incredible strong
Via playing even without a rook or knight..

And just imagine again,
One of Morphy's impressive short wins (played without a rook):
Where the Legend is managed to checkmate in 13 moves:

[Event "?"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "?"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Morphy"]
[Black "Amateur"]
[Result "*"]
[SetUp "1"]
[FEN "rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/1NBQKBNR w Kkq - 0 1"]
[PlyCount "25"]

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd4 4. Bc4 Bb4+ 5. c3 dxc3 6. O-O cxb2 7. Bxb2 Bf8
8. e5 d6 9. Re1 dxe5 10. Nxe5 Qxd1 11. Bxf7+ Ke7 12. Ng6+ Kxf7 13. Nxh8# *

And please stay tuned..soon as possible more results updates..

UPDATE 4

Via final update: 31 chess engines are entered! actually (in overall stats)
In latest 2 days.. I've managed to test 87 engines and hope you like it ?)
Yes..via this update too..Top 3 ranks are as before..really impressive !!
But I admit also that via latest eng entries,
Now the ranking includes more strong engines e.g CatroPOLY, SF FS ...
Also now is more clear that the older SF Evalfiles are stronger than latest
New ones...at least it seems so if running tests under handicapped cond.
Anyhow, Kayra is Kayra..if we'll talk about which is strongest of SF ones..
Because via same net...(that Kayra used) a lot of other ones played too!!
I wonder also: What is Top secret that contains in Mr. Mehmet's engine?!
Sure as same words are going for the Winner: Clover / PlentyChess too?!
Ok friends that's all for now..congrats and many hanks to all eng authors!

HC CS IV's Champion: Clover 8.1 - My Congratulations to Luca Metehau!

Hi Sedat
Thank you very much for these recent tour with many engines participants. Great and difficult work you have done. Also congratulations to all participants specially the champion, Clover engine and it’s author Luca Metehau. I want to mention more about Clover and I think it’s the best place because I know that your thread has lots of viewers and fans although many of them are always silent. About several months ago I criticized Clover engine and said it has one of the worst evaluations among all top engines. It was true on that time till version 8. But since version 8 we can see a different and new face of this engine. Luca Matehau rewrote the code of clover engine and modified the engine successfully. Now we can see one the best original engines with it’s own NNUE net. I want to congratulate to Luca Matehau again not only because of Clover championship but because of his great attempts and wonderful work. Lizard engine also had the same problem but since version 11 the author modified its evaluation successfully too. I think it was my duty to wrote this words.
Wishing all members the bests in year 2025 in advance.

Hello Homayoun,

Not at all.. it is my pleasure

Yeah... these kind of new odds ratings are interesting,
But in same time, it was bit complicated (for my side),
Especially I spent many efforts for creation the opening suite..
Some were quite hard for whites/blacks or just opposite etc.
And if I'm not wrong, I tested over than 200 opening positions,
But in the end, I left as qualified only 30 openings of them!
Forget everything...I've difficult times, while openings are
Not played as twice.. but in the end, I've managed to find a
Successful way, where all openings are played as twice, e.g
Cutechess is quite sensitive GUI, in case of openings order:
Sequential

In other words,
You may know, the picture is not so easy as it looks )
But if you love in chess, there is nothing impossible!)

About your rest comments,
Frankly I like critics too.. it's a good way to get better.
But only in friendly way.. I mean not in bestial way...
And here I've no doubts that
You are quite kind man.. and so far I see nothing wrong
About your comments towards Clover engine...as you said,
Latest Clover, plus Kayra, Plentychess etc are unbelievable
Super strong under these odds cond. who knows? perhaps
The mentioned authors are trained theirs engines...!?

Ok..my friend..see you later )
