IvanHoe 0A.0C.1A

Post by kingliveson »

For anyone interested, normally I'll rather build the default IvanHoe without parameter changes so we know where exactly it stands and leave the mods to others. Anycase, here is a modded IvanHoe 999949j with dynamic style of play. It plays better with RobboBase enabled. Time management was also tweaked a little to play fast for blitz, but "normal" for long games and even slower given certain conditions. The engine (64 bit Windows only) and games are included in the attached archive; it requires latest 7-zip to open it.

Code: Select all

Rybka vs IvanHoe, Blitz 3m

1 IvanHoe 0A.0C.1A x64 +7 +21/=59/-19 51.01% 50.5/99
2 Deep Rybka 4 SSE42 x64 -7 +19/=59/-21 48.99% 48.5/99

Was told to toss it in the bin lol, though some result against Houdini in 10 minute blitz wasnt bad.

Just made a test (2'+1"), 2 cores, no ponder
DR4 x64 - IvanHoe 0A.0C.1A x64
+35 -29 =92
Result (for Rybka): 81-75 (51.92% of 156 games)

So, unfortunately, this Ivan belongs to the better Ivans, with approx. same strength as DR4, but not better :(

Hi Enerst, I didn't really think it was going to be stronger, it's really just a personality which allows it to play slightly different. I did some longer time control, but only a small small sample. 15+10, Rybka had a 1 game lead after 26 rounds, and 40/40 repeating, it lead Rybka by a game after 10 rounds. The games are posted on the tournament sub-forum.

Sorry, king, I made a finger slip: my match was DR4 x64 against IvanHoe 0A.0C.18 x64 (not 1A)
Not that it changes much to the whole affair... :)
