Goodbye uncensored Open-Chess forum !
Posted: Mon May 26, 2025 12:44 pm
Since I registered at Open-Chess on October 20, 2021, I've posted nearly 1,500 messages, created nearly 50 new topics, shared tools, source codes, data and knowledge.
With private messages disabled, Open-Chess members were able to express their opinions more often in public, reducing hypocrisy and revealing their affinities.
Without censorship :
- Open-Chess members could provide their evidence publicly,
- Open-Chess members could update their topics over several years,
- members of the same family could participate in the same Open-Chess topics with their respective accounts,
- etc.
After years of silence, the Open-Chess admin chose censorship as the future for his forum !
As censor, the Open-Chess' admin chose :
- someone who used spam as candidacy,
- an unproductive member who didn't create any topics nor chess engines nor opening books nor experience files nor chess tools,
- an ignorant member without knowledge on learning engines / experience files to censor those who share their knowledge/tools on these same subjects,
- etc.
So, before Open-Chess' censorship rewrote history :
- by renaming topics without the consent of their author (see #1),
- by attributing bad intentions to me,
- by merging topics with different themes (see #2),
- by attributing their failures to me,
- by deleting evidence (see #3),
I transfered all the topics that I had been updating for years from Open-Chess to Outskirts. As I'm only updating my Outskirts topics so no matter if my Open-Chess topics are renamed, shuffled or deleted, my Open-Chess topics are already deprecated !
As a bonus, I took this opportunity to correct many broken links and create an index to facilitate access to my Outskirts topics. On the left side, my indexed topics at Outskirts and on the right side, my censored and merged topics by the Open-Chess' censorship :

This index has already brought good feedback :
- since I haven't mentioned any usernames or real names, Open-Chess members who feel targeted will reveal themselves if they respond to this message.
- since we're talking about censorship, this message will be published in several places because it will certainly be poorly received by the Open-Chess' censorship,
- the Open-Chess censor's friends won't be criticized for the flaws in their work, so they can focus on their view count.
- etc.
Good luck to those who will be forced to endure the censored Open-Chess forum...

What can we expect now ?Hello Deeds,
I find your knowledge about Engine Exp interesting.
I am currently creating a new exp for Hypnos++1.02.
10min 13 games, against Dragon 3.3.
Dragon 3.3 does not get an opening book, because I think it distorts the exp of Hypnos++1.02.
Maybe I'm thinking wrong? But it's a try.
Greetings
